On September 29, 2022, Helen Vyshniakova, Attorney at Law, Founder and Head of VYSHNIAKOVA & PARTNERS Law Firm, delivered a lecture at a seminar in Bratislava for Ukrainian lawyers who were forced to leave Ukraine and seek their vocation in Slovakia due to Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
The seminar covered the conditions, peculiarities and restrictions of the main ways of practicing law by Ukrainian attorneys in Slovakia, such as: registration as an international attorney in Slovakia ("medzinárodný advokát"), obtaining the status of an attorney-in-training in Slovakia ("advokátsky koncipient"), employment in Slovak law firms as a professional specialist ("odborní a iní zamestnanci advokát"). Helen, being a Ukrainian lawyer and an international attorney-at-law who has been practicing in Slovakia for a long time, also conducted a comparative analysis of the conditions for practicing law in Slovakia and Ukraine.
If you did not have the opportunity to attend this seminar, but the information may be relevant to you, we are pleased to share with you the information from Helen's presentation.
